NCV-A nerve conduction velocity test is an electrical test that is used to determine the adequacy of the conduction of the nerve impulse as it courses down a nerve. This test is used to detect signs of nerve injury.

EMG-An EMG is carried out in order to exclude or detect muscle conditions which may be present due to muscular or neurologic disease.

EEG-An electroencephalogram, is a test that can help diagnose epilepsy. During an EEG, the electrical signals of the brain are recorded. This electrical activity is detected by electrodes, or sensors, placed on the patient’s scalp and transmitted to a polygraph that records the activity. A neurologist examines the EEG recording for abnormalities in the brain-wave pattern, which may reflect diseases of the nervous system.
