Cardiologists in Gurgaon
The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology. Physicians who specialize in this field of medicine are called cardiologists.
We have facilities for:
TMT – A stress test can determine if you have heart disease. A doctor or trained technician performs the test. He’ll learn how much your heart can manage before an abnormal rhythm starts or blood flow to your heart muscle drops.
There are different types of these. The exercise stress test — also known as an exercise electrocardiogram, treadmill test, graded exercise test, or stress ECG– is used most often.
Echocardiography – An echocardiogram (echo=sound + card=heart + gram=drawing) is an ultrasound test that can evaluate the structures of the heart, as well as the direction of blood flow within it. Cardiologists specially trained in echocardiography produce the images and videos, often using a special probe or transducer that is placed in various places on the chest wall, to view the heart from different directions and evaluate these images to assess heart function and provide a report of the results. The echocardiogram is just one of the many tests that can be done to evaluate heart anatomy and function.
Stress Echocardiography – This test can show the motion of the heart’s walls and the heart’s pumping action when it’s stressed. It can show a lack of blood flow that isn’t always seen on other heart tests. The echo is performed just before and after the exercise.
Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography – A dobutamine stress echocardiogram is another form of stress echocardiogram. However, instead of exercising to stress the heart, the stress is obtained by giving a drug that stimulates the heart and makes it “think” it is exercising. The test is used to evaluate your heart and valve function when you are unable to exercise on a treadmill or stationary bike.
Holter monitoring – A Holter screen is a little outside gadget that persistently records the heart’s rhythms. The monitor is worn for 24 – 48 hours during normal activity.
Holter checking is utilized to decide how the heart reacts to ordinary action.
ABP monitoring – ABPM Measures Blood Pressure at regular intervals. It is believed to be able to reduce the white coat hypertension effect in which a patient’s blood pressure is elevated during the examination process due to nervousness and anxiety caused by being in a clinical setting.
